Island View Resort

The owners are good people! Easy to work with and it was great getting to interact with their new customer service rep, Hannah. Reservations and payments are quick and simple. The cabins are a bit outdated and can definitely use some TLC and a few updates. Love that the cabins are so close to the water, has a little playground for the kids, and a little beach area to splash around at.

We absolutely love Island View Resort and staying here every year. I've been coming for 20+ years with my family. We have 4 generations who have vacationed here through the years. Jeff took over ownership a few years ago and has been doing a great job keeping up with the place and making improvements since. Great views, nice accommodations, kids love the beach and playground.

We really only stayed in our cabin to sleep, but the cabin was wonderful. It was clean and well set up. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you think you'd need staying at a cabin near the water. The shower had hot water and excellent water pressure. We had an issue with our sink and the person I spoke to was great with communication and very polite. If we ever need a place to stay in Cedarville again, we'll definitely come back!

The cabin we stayed in had all the amenities you would expect. It was a rustic feeling, but very clean and well maintained. If you're looking for a nice place you can bring a boat, relax, and enjoy scenic water views.

I just spent an extended weekend at Island View Resort. It is really a great place. It was very peaceful with great views to the beautiful waterfront. The fishing was also a lot of fun. I had a small stream running just to the side of my cabin. It was awesome sitting on the deck listening to the stream. The owners were also great and friendly. Highly recommend.

Had a great time at this quaint little hideaway! Our cabin was huge and very tidy with a fantastic view of lake Huron and the chain of islands along the northern shore. The real wood burning fireplace was essential to any northern getaway and it's surprising how many rentals in the UP don't offer this! Pros: lots of hot water and free hardwood. Very clean. Pet friendly. Amazing views. Direct lake access Cons: The exterior really needs painting. The windows and door facing lake really need to be updated as they are very drafty. And lastly, the owners might want to be a bit more generous with toilet paper. 2 small rolls barely covered the two of us for the two nights we were there. We left a six pack and hope that the owners can pay it forward for the next folks!

What a beautiful place to stay. My family and i stayed in the vacation house. The 3 beds and 2 full baths was amazing. One of the bathrooms was also recently remodeled! Very clean. Kitchen was great, fully stocked with dishes and cookware. The view of the lake was just breathtaking. Owners are great! Easy to get a hold of if needed. My kids enjoyed playing on the playground, watching the boats, and feeding the ducks. Great location. My family and i were able to make multiple day trips to various locations: Garlyn zoo, bear ranch, st. Ignace, Sioux locks, Mackinaw city, and tahquamenom falls. Highly recommend this resort. Would definitely stay again in the future!

My dad and I shared cabin #1 for a long weekend and it honestly couldn't have been better. The cabin was quaint, but had character and all of the appliances we needed. Highlights of the weekend included catching a ton of fish (13 of them in 2 hours!) with Island Charters, bonfires right in front of our cabin overlooking amazing sunsets all 3 nights, and spending time with the Lipple family. The Lipples are genuinely kind and caring people and are really good at what they do - whether that be hosting at the resort or charter fishing. This weekend allowed me to spend real quality time with my dad and aunt and uncle, which I will remember for years. Jeff/Christine/Greg - it was a true pleasure this past weekend and I'm so proud of you guys as business owners. Can't wait to come back.
